The Series TXLP is ideal for melting snow and ice on almost any ground surface, including concrete, asphalt, and pavers. Nexans cable increases safety by keeping surfaces clean and dry, and saves time by preventing the need for ongoing snow and ice removal.

TXLP cable is available in voltages from 120V-480V, and with a variety of controls including thermostats, switches and sensors. The UL-listed Nexans cable is completely concealed, easy to install and comes with a 10-year warranty. The system has few mechanical parts, so little maintenance is required.

Manufactured in Norway, TXLP cable is designed to withstand the rigors of harsh outdoor use. It incorporates a moisture-proof splice, an insulated cover, and a metal-clad sheath to ensure longevity. Users install Nexans cable beneath the surface, along with a temperature and moisture sensor. The melting sequence begins when the combination moisture/temperature sensor is activated by the conditions that produce either sleet or snow. When the cable is activated, surface temperatures rise to between 35°F and 40°F (1.7°C to 4.4°C), melting snow and ice before accumulation. The system stays energized for 3-5 hours, depending on the snowfall’s time and rate. The amperage required is suitable to most residential and commercial services. Nexans cable can also be used for de-icing roofs and gutters.
