The new color brochure provides an overview of the benefits of radiant heating, including comfort and evenly distributed warmth, the flexibility to use the products with almost any heating system, energy efficiency, safety due to no exposed heating elements or open flames, aesthetic appeal, and convenience.
The brochure describes Nexans TXLP floor warming cable, which is available in ready-made sets in 120- and 230-volts for almost any room. The cable sets are easy to plan and install without extra building materials. They have a patented hidden splice that makes them safe for any type of installation, including slab and frame construction and hardwood floors.
The new Orbit brochure also covers Nexans TXLP cable systems for ground surface snow melting, roof and gutter ice melting, soil warming and frost protection. The cable is ideal for a variety of surfaces such as concrete, brick, pavers, or asphalt used in areas including driveways, walkways, and patios. The cable is constructed of a high-quality alloy resistance wire conductor encased in a metal waterproof jacket, with a durable PVC plastic outer cover that provides protection from the elements.
Nexans Millimat cable for floor warming and space heating applications is also detailed in the brochure. Millimat provides an ideal, simplified solution for the thin set method of laying tile. The heating cable comes pre-applied to a fiberglass mat to set the cable spacing. Users secure the mat to the sub-floor, then apply a thin set mastic with a notched trowel in a single step, resulting in a low profile floor elevation. The mats are UL-listed and are available in either 120 V or 230 V, and a variety of lengths.
Cutaway drawings and photos for Nexans Millimat thin set installations, as well as for Nexans cable wet bed or slab installations, are included in the new brochure. The brochure also guides the end-user or dealer in determining how much cable or Millimat is needed for a particular application and includes a Nexans product selection guide.
